Parents Association
he Parents Association is a very small number of people whose main role is to be a link between the parents and the school The main job of this group is to be in communication with the principal Ms. Leonard and to keep in touch with exactly what's going on in the school.
We work in partnership with the principal for the good and the benefit of all the pupils. Being in the Association encourages involvement in the school and is a good way of getting to know the other parents.
In turn the principal and staff of St. Clare's also get their issues across through "US" the Parents Association
In recent times they have consulted us regarding uniforms, the recently built carpark and we have discussed ways the school needs to spend money which we help raise for them.
The Parents Association has always had a good positive relationship with the principal and the staff of the school.
Ms.Leonard has a great dedicated team of teaching staff to help her with the running of the school.
Unfortunately the Parents Association consists of only 10 members and in a school of over 400 students you can appreciate our need for more parent involvement.
Our annual fund raising event is the end of year sports evening and this event alone takes considerable organisation.
The funds we raise go towards school outings, the travel expenses of the camogie teams, the choir plus the purchase of such things as new library books and many more school necessities.
Our monthly meetings are informal and last only 1 hour and are the vital link between parents and the school
It is with this in mind I ask you to consider getting involved for the benefit of your children's future and the future of St. Clare's.

We are hoping to be allowed to do a bag packing weekend in one of the local supermarkets and need volenteers to make themselves available.
Please put your name forward to the members of the Parents Association.
